Privacy Policy

Last updated: 01.01.2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ebaysellerfeecalculator.com, doing business as "Fee Calculator Pro" ("we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with the website at ebaysellerfeecalculator.com and the related fee‑calculation tools and account features we provide (together, the "Service").

We are the controller of the personal information described in this Policy. If you have questions or want to exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected].

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. Where required by law, we rely on the legal bases and, where applicable, the consent described below.

1. Who this Policy applies to

This Policy applies to:

  • Visitors who use the free calculator without an account.
  • Registered users who create an account (by email and password, or through Google sign‑in).
  • Subscribers who purchase a paid plan.

You can use the free calculator without creating an account. If you use it without signing in, your recent calculations are stored only in your browser (in local storage on your device) and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider; we do not have access to your plaintext password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google in accordance with the permissions you grant; we do not receive your Google password.

Calculations you save. If you are signed in and choose to save calculations, we store the inputs and results you save (for example, item price, category, country, and the resulting fee and profit estimates) so you can access them in your account.

Payment and subscription information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full payment card number, CVC, or similar full card details; you provide these directly to Stripe, which handles them. We store a customer identifier issued by Stripe and your subscription status and billing period so we can give you access to paid features. Stripe's handling of your information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

Usage and technical information. When you use the Service, we and our analytics and infrastructure providers automatically collect certain information, which may include your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, language and locale, referring pages, the pages and features you interact with, and the dates and times of your visits.

Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the Service (for example, to keep you signed in) and, separately, analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. See Section 4.

Communications. If you contact us (for example, by email), we collect the information you choose to provide and our correspondence with you.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of data (such as health, biometric, or government‑identifier data), and you should not submit such information to the Service.

3. How we use information, and our legal bases

We use personal information to:

  • Provide and operate the Service — create and maintain your account, run calculations, save and display your saved calculations, and provide paid features. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions — bill you, manage renewals and cancellations, and keep records of transactions. Legal basis: performance of a contract; compliance with legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting records).
  • Communicate with you — send service and transactional messages such as account confirmation, password resets, and billing notices. Legal basis: performance of a contract; our legitimate interests in operating the Service.
  • Secure, maintain, and improve the Service — prevent fraud and abuse, debug and protect the Service, and understand and improve how it is used. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in keeping the Service safe and functional; consent where analytics cookies require it.
  • Comply with law — meet legal, regulatory, and law‑enforcement obligations, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Legal basis: compliance with legal obligations; our legitimate interests.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance those interests against your rights and freedoms. Where we rely on consent (for example, non‑essential analytics cookies, or any marketing email you opt into), you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use:

  • Strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the Service to function (for example, to maintain your signed‑in session). These cannot be switched off through the Service.
  • Analytics cookies and technologies, provided by Google Analytics 4, which help us understand aggregate usage (such as which pages are visited and how features perform). This may involve your IP address and device or browser information.

You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the Service works. We will honor applicable browser‑ or device‑level opt‑out signals where required by law.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross‑context behavioral advertising.

We share personal information only as described here:

Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a successor policy.

6. International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and our providers operate in the United States and other countries. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another region whose data‑protection law restricts international transfers, your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may not provide the same level of protection as your own.

Where such transfers occur, we and our providers rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum or UK International Data Transfer Agreement, where relevant), or other lawful transfer mechanisms maintained by our providers. You may contact us for more information about the safeguards in place.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Account information and saved calculations — for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward, after which they are deleted or anonymized. You can delete saved calculations at any time, and you can request deletion of your account.
  • Payment and billing records — for as long as required to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
  • Usage and analytics data — for a limited retention period consistent with our analytics provider's settings.

When we no longer need personal information, we delete it or de‑identify it.

8. How we protect information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and row‑level security that restricts each user's data to that user. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the relevant authorities where and as required by law.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information.

If you are in the EEA or the UK (GDPR / UK GDPR), you have the right to: access your personal information; correct inaccurate information; request erasure; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data‑protection supervisory authority.

If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to: know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; access and obtain a copy of it; correct inaccurate information; delete it; and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross‑context behavioral advertising, so no "Do Not Sell or Share" action is required; you may still contact us to exercise the rights above.

Everyone. You can access and update much of your account information directly in your account, delete saved calculations, and unsubscribe from any non‑transactional email using the link in that email.

How to exercise your rights. Contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 (or under 13 in the United States). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third‑party links

The Service may contain links to third‑party websites and services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and, for material changes, we will provide additional notice as required by law. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you acknowledge the updated Policy.
